December 2005

Hurricane Gumbo wants to thank everyone who came out to the various Hurricane Katrina benefit shows we participated in over the past couple of months. We had a great time with y'all and it was definitely a worthwhile cause as the people of New Orleans continue rebuilding their historic city.

Still in need of our help is WWOZ 90.7 FM, New Orleans' best not-for-profit radio station. WWOZ keeps the music and heritage of the Crescent City alive and loud. So please take a moment to visit their site and become a member.

Currently we have sequestered ourselves in a new rehearsal space with 20 cases of Abita Beer and 10 bags of Kip John’s Jerky- furiously writing and rehearsing new material for Mardi Gras 2006 and a new CD. Speaking of Mardi Gras, we have begun accepting 2006 dates and will post the latest show dates as they are confirmed. If you are interested in hiring the band later this year or during Mardi Gras season, please feel free to Contact Bill Green or Kenny E.
